Since we are moving into the busy holiday season, if you have a good tip for sorting and clearing 1,274 unread emails, please share – I’m asking for a friend. But seriously, between putting out fires, attending meetings and returning long overdue calls, it is difficult to find time for reflection.
But every time I stop for a few minutes, I am astounded by how fast things are moving and changing around me, and I am flooded with gratitude. We’ve accomplished so much this year at S-NET. We launched several new services, grew our team exponentially and acquired Strategic Telecommunications, a step we planned for a very long time.
I’d love to think that I was solely responsible for all of this. But the truth is, these successes would not have been possible without a host of amazing people and support. In this season of thanksgiving, I’d like to share the 4 things that I am most grateful for.
I am a lucky man with a beautiful wife, 3 great boys, a dog, a cat and a gold fish, as well as my elderly parents who are still with us. I can always count on spending time at home to ground me, recharge my batteries and get me energized for the next exciting project at work. I really enjoy spending time with my kids and I am fascinated to see what they learn in school. It’s very different from what I studied when I was their age. I am thankful for all the opportunities we have to spend time together skiing, outdoors or on family trips abroad.
The U.S. gave me opportunities that I would have not had anywhere else in the world, and allowed Eugene and I to build a company from the ground up. Without the right environment, S-NET would have remained a dream, so I am very aware and very thankful for the amazing opportunities I was given.
Every business owner knows how hard it is to build a good team. At S-NET, we put a lot of effort into finding the right people. We always look for dedicated professionals and self-starters who are passionate about what they do. We ensure they have the right environment to learn and grow so they can achieve their full potential. My team are my biggest asset. Without them, S-NET would not be where it is today.
Here at S-NET we understood very early on that cutting-edge technology does little good if people are unable to use it successfully. So we made a commitment to always put our clients’ needs first and provide them with the attentive support they deserve. We could have not made a better decision. Over the years we fostered meaningful relationships with our large base of loyal customers and we have come to know them by first name. They continue to play a critical role in our success and we are very thankful for their support.
I could go on and on about why I am so fortunate. But without all this support, I would not be able to help so many companies transform how they work and communicate. Supporting our clients in tackling their business challenges and seeing how they grow and thrive gives me great joy.
My family, my team, our clients and this wonderful country of opportunities give me the strength and motivation I need each day to pursue my dreams and try to make this world a little bit better. I am truly grateful for all of them!
