As a key member of our finance and accounting team, you will become thoroughly familiar with our telecom billing system and continually looks for ways to improve our billing processes and revenue and commissions reporting. You will conduct timely and accurate billing of monthly recurring and one time revenue and submit billing reporting and commission payments for approval while providing an exceptional customer experience to our customers and agents as it relates to billing and commission questions. Additionally, you will support the monthly financial close process with the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations related to revenue, deferred revenue, telecommunications taxes, commissions and others as assigned.  You must be detail oriented, willing to learn new technologies, and open to changing processes.

 

Primary Responsibilities include:
  • Assists with the daily and monthly billing cycle using our Rev.io telecom billing platform ensuring that all new customers, existing customers, and cancelled customers are billed correctly
  • Produce and submit accurate, timely, and complete billing and commission reports
  • Review and process credits
  • Monitor invoicing exceptions and unique customer situations while keeping other internal team members aware of the issues
  • Works closely with Project & Business Development Managers to understand contractual details in order to ensure correct billing
  • Assist with systems process changes and testing within the Rev.io platform.
  • Assist with the customer cash application process including collections and disconnect notices
  • Proactively help research and resolve billing issues and questions
  • Support accounting operations such as accounts payable, processing payments, and account reconciliations as needed
  • Works as part of the Accounting team on projects and tasks as needed
  • Support month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with any other ad hoc analysis or projects as needed
  • Act with a sense of urgency and professionalism to internal and external inquiries via email and phone
Requirements:
  • BS Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Business system proficiency; ability to understand work flows and interdependencies
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Strong work ethic –ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a demanding detail-oriented environment.
  • Basic knowledge of telecommunications services a plus
  • Quickbooks or Accounting System experience a plus
  • Telecom billing or accounting experience a plus

Responsibilities:
  • Create and drive an appropriate proactive sales strategy
  • Consistently exceed quarterly & annual sales targets – no Whale Hunting
  • Act as the client’s first point of contact, proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain a high level of relevant domain knowledge to have meaningful conversations with prospects
  • Deploy lead-generation strategies to generate new deals- cold-calling, social media (esp. LinkedIn) & other types
  • Provide feedback to company management on market trends, competitive threats, unmet needs, and opportunities to deliver greater value to customers by extending company offering
  • Partner with regional VOIP Partners to effectively identify, and acquire new customers
  • Leverage CRM to manage all sales activities and maintain sales forecast and pipeline developments
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years solution-based selling (Unified Communications, Cloud applications, VoIP, telephony)
  • Demonstrated track-record of obtaining / exceeding quota beyond $1 million per year in LTV
  • Skilled in qualifying, presentations, product demos, proposal development and forecasting
  • Skilled at building rapport, opening doors, understanding business requirements
  • Strong ability to motivate and influence decision makers in competitive situations
  • Energetic attitude, willingness to perform and get things done
  • A competitive nature and hates to lose
  • Optimistic, resilient, with a strong ability to persevere
  • Entrepreneurial: high energy, reward and wants to be part of a growth story
