Last Friday the S-NET Team spent the day at the zoo! It was a retreat filled with learning, epiphanies, bonding, games, animal encounters and lots of team building fun. We can not overstate the impact it had on our team!
Built around the DiSC Profile Assessment, the retreat enabled us to take a deep dive into the different work styles and personalities on our team, as well as our overall organizational culture. Gaining a better understanding of our own team allows us to leverage all the unique talents of each personality profile, collaborate more efficiently and build a stronger organization.
With several animal encounters and a team adventure in the zoo, the day was filled with fun and laughter. As we got up close and personal with Daisy the ball python, tried synchronized baton tossing and crammed as many people as possible in a single photo booth, we experienced the bonding effect of a day out of the office. We ended the day at Summer Fest, where we listened to great music, had a couple of drinks, got to know each other’s families and watched a laser show.
This week we got back to the office energized and ready to implement all the lessons we learned. With a new understanding of different work styles and a fresh vocabulary of team building jargon, we can already see the impact the retreat had on us.
This is a look back at an amazing day of team building and fun.
