As we close the books for 2018, we’d like to thank all of our clients and partners for helping us to make this one of our strongest years ever. In fact, we are pleased to report that it was an even better year than 2017 for S-NET. Our high customer retention rates, coupled with new sales and a successful acquisition made us a fast-growing company in a very competitive market.
Acquiring Strategic Telecommunications enabled us to expand our reach and provide our cloud-based services to even more companies. Successfully migrating all of their clients to S-NET’s cloud communications platform in less than 90 days was one of the biggest challenges we ever faced. It was also one of the best learning experiences we’ve had, and it has set the stage for future acquisitions.
In a business setting, such fast growth is always exciting and our strong internal processes kept us well-organized and on track. Our streamlined workflows and customized SharePoint portals allowed our team to become much more organized and efficient, significantly reducing deployment time for clients and ensuring better customer service.
This year we also expanded our staff to better serve the needs of our growing client base. In the last 12 months we hired new team members for several departments, including Account Management, Engineering, Tech Support, Project Management, Accounting and Sales. Our new additions are motivated self-starters who hit the ground running and helped us succeed in this challenging industry.
In 2018 we made significant investments in our data center infrastructure. We gradually upgraded all our voice servers – the backbone of our hosted VoIP solution – with the latest service provider server models. We installed new storage and processing servers as well with full SSD storage. These changes will increase the data processing speed, reliability, availability and scalability of our hosted voice solutions. The new architecture was built to withstand the increased client load and allows for substantial growth in the future. It ensures that clients – old and new – will continue to receive the quality service they expect.
This year we also upgraded VoIP software across all of our server clusters. The release of PBXware v5 now provides our clients with more cutting-edge features, better reporting tools, integrations with cloud storage, as well as better scalability. Our desktop and mobile applications have changed as well, featuring a much more intuitive user interface and SMS messaging. In addition, a newly launched partnership with Yealink enables our clients to choose from a wider selection of state-of-the-art desktop and conferencing phones for their business.
In 2018 we have also expanded our product line, and we are now offering more comprehensive cloud-based solutions than ever. Our new services include our S-NET Live video conferencing and collaboration tool, a SharePoint Cloud Migration and Customization service, and an Enterprise SD-WAN Circuit Management Service.
We have high hopes that 2019 will be just as great as 2018 was. We expect to see the high client retention rates that we have become so proud of, and S-NET will continue to grow.
In 2019, we look forward to more successful acquisitions, continued upgrades to our data centers and new software releases to maintain a state-of-the-art hosted VoIP offering. A new data center facility on the West Coast will allow us to increase the reliability and speed of our service, expand our reach and better serve our clients in the area.
In addition to robust infrastructure changes, 2019 will also be a year of growth within our teams. New additions to our talented staff will ensure that we continue offering the same personalized customer support that our clients are accustomed to.
