S-NET’s Business Continuity Commitment During the Covid-19 Pandemic

During this uncertain time when the news is dominated by the Coronavirus, we wanted to let you know that we are vigilantly implementing enhanced protocols to ensure that your business communications services will continue to support your organization uninterrupted.

Below are a few of the steps we are taking:

Uninterrupted Services – S-NET Communications’ cloud-based services are running out of our unmanned, geo-redundant data centers that are managed remotely and do not require personnel present to function at peak performance. You can rest assured that your communications services will continue to run uninterrupted.

The S-NET Communications team works from home. With our infrastructure and services hosted and accessible in the cloud, working remotely is second nature to us. The majority of our team are continuing their job duties from the safety of their residences and only essential tasks are performed at our offices, data centers or our clients’ sites. We have made additional investments in collaboration technology to ensure that our Customer Support Team continues to be available. Since we transitioned our team to home-based work, we have been able to successfully meet our clients’ needs and will continue to do so.

S-NET continues to operate as a provider of essential services. As a Telecommunications vendor, S-NET Communications is classified as a provider of essential infrastructure and is authorized to continue its operations outside of its employees’ homes even in areas where Shelter in Place orders are in effect. We are dedicated to minimizing our team’s exposure to the virus. But we are authorized and ready to perform essential tasks in person as the need arises.

Our 2019 network upgrades are paying off. As many mobile and communications providers are seeing their capacity exceeded by the increase in demand, S-NET continues to provide steady services. We have significantly expanded our network and infrastructure in 2019, including the launch of a new, Geo-redundant data center, and the upgrade couldn’t have come at a better time. We are currently utilizing only around 30% of our network capacity and we are able to provide our clients with reliable services when they need them the most. You can rest assured that your S-NET phone system is ready to handle your increased call load and much more.

We are transitioning to electronic payments. To protect our team and yours from being exposed, we are transitioning all our billing and payments online. If you are currently receiving mailed invoices or are making payments by paper checks, you will be invited to sign up to the S-NET Customer Portal. Once you set up your account, the portal will serve as your one-stop-shop for reviewing invoices, selecting your payment method (e-check or credit card), updating your payment information, remitting invoices and setting up auto-payments. You and your team will also receive your electronic bill emailed to the addresses of your choice each month and can set up several different profiles for your staff as needed.

We will reduce shipping equipment to and from our warehouse. To reduce the number of people and teams in contact with your hardware, we will ship your equipment directly from our vendors when possible. As the S-NET technical team may not be able to pre-program all of your equipment before it arrives to your offices, you could be asked to provide minimal support during its installation.
