S-NET’s conscientious Project Manager, Rob Meersman, followed his passion for helping people and transitioned from a Sales role to supporting clients throughout the onboarding process. As a closet food critic, Rob enjoys cooking and grilling, and is always on the lookout for unique restaurants and specialty markets. Read on to get to know him better.
I started in July 2014 as a Technology Consultant, and I transitioned into project management after a year. I have been in charge of new and existing client installations ever since.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and am also pursuing a PMP Certification.
I have been in the telecommunications industry for over 12 years serving in various Account Executive positions. I worked for AT&T for over 6 years as a Competitive and Retention Account Executive and held similar jobs at Covad and TDS.
I am in charge of new and existing customer installations, moves, adds and changes. I manage everything from contract order execution and implementation to project completion, follow up and billing to ensure customers are satisfied with the service they receive. Changing providers can be a difficult and stressful time for many of our customers, so my main job is to put their mind at ease and ensure that their transition and onboarding process is seamless. Our customers see major positive changes in their business communications, both in terms of the technology and customer service we provide, and it all starts with clear and attentive communication during onboarding.
Yes, every day. And it is very rewarding. I have always liked to work with people, so I really enjoy helping our clients understand the path to project completion and working with them as a team to take the necessary steps in getting the job done together. I also like working with the S-NET Team to show customers what a “REAL” telecommunications service provider can do for them.
I really like that everyone at S-NET has a work ethic that goes above and beyond any other company I have worked for. We take great pride in doing what is best for our clients and getting the job done right.
S-NET has given me the opportunity to make a successful transition from Sales to an Operations role within the company. I have been able to leverage my sales insights into customer concerns along with the detail orientation required in a successful implementation to help deliver the quality solutions our clients deserve.
What few people know about me is that I also love to grill and cook. I am a closet food critic always looking for new unique restaurants and specialty food markets.
I am really excited about vacationing with my family. We are planning to visit Washington D.C. to see the Smithsonian, and we are spending next year’s Christmas in Hawaii.
