I started in August of 2018 as a Sales Technology Consultant and was promoted to Senior Technology Consultant earlier this year.
My plan was always to get into sales. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater and was hired by a telecom company called C-Beyond. I worked there for roughly 5 years and built my industry contacts and knowledge. I also worked at First Communications and COEO before joining S-NET.
My role at S-NET is to drive new sales and create relationships with channel partners.
I talk to clients on a daily basis. I don’t like to sell someone something and then just never talk to them again – I like to build relationships and support them through their transition to their new service. As an added bonus, my clients often send new customers my way.
A couple things… Being part of a great sales team tasked with taking S-NET to the next level is very exciting. I love working with the other goofballs on the team, we are very close.
Also, providing my customers with cost-effective solutions that actually help their businesses run more efficiently is very rewarding. I love walking our clients through our desktop softphone app, S-NET Connect, and our call center technology too. It’s so fun to show people features that they haven’t seen before and demonstrate how they can benefit their business.
The most challenging aspect of my job is finding new business leads — it takes constant prospecting and networking. But once we get our feet in the door with business leaders, S-NET brings so much value to the table that it’s easier to win them over.
I really enjoyed working our booth at networking events and shows. Having people walk up to our table and interacting with them on a social level to show them who S-NET is and what we are capable of is exciting.
One customer in particular comes to mind. They reached out when their old phone system died unexpectedly on a Tuesday morning. A couple of hours later, we had the paperwork signed. Our AMAZING team of engineers and project managers had a new VoIP phone system up and running for them by Friday. It went so well that we will be filming a testimonial outlining the transition.
Our CEO, Alex Fayn, and our Director of Sales, Mike Hensgen, bring so much industry knowledge to the table, that I learn new things from them every day. On top of that, working with our engineering team to set up demos and solutions has been very valuable in expanding my knowledge of the technology behind our services.
I’m currently working on closing a couple of very large accounts, both of which will be huge wins for myself and S-NET. Being in sales, the most exciting projects are those large deals that have a lot of moving parts.
After a long day at the office, I like to go home and play outside with my family. I have a 1 year old and a 5 year old who keep me and my wife very busy. We go to the pool, to the park, ride bikes, or just play in the backyard. I also love spending time with my very large extended family. It just continues to grow, my sister and a few of my cousins recently had their first kids as well. It’s fun to see everyone growing their families.
I’m also a huge sports fan. Growing up in Wisconsin, I love the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and Badgers. I’m a big golfer too, I play in a soccer league and I also love to spend time fishing anywhere I can.
I look forward to creating a huge footprint here at S-NET. I plan to help grow this sales team exponentially. S-NET is a phenomenal company with the best solution around.
